A Study on the Students’ Satisfaction and Demand of Ophthalmic Optics under Bachelor’s Degree Course in Academic Credit Bank System - Focus on the Educational Institutions in Gyeongii Reagion -

Abstract

|
Purpose: This study was to evaluate the students’ satisfaction and demand of ophthalmic optics under bachelor’s degree course in academic credit bank system in order to use them as data for the operating and the improvement of academic credit bank system
Methods: Total of 100 students who registered in the academic credit bank system were surveyed in the satisfaction and demand.
Results: The mean of the satisfaction of academic credit bank system was 3.99±0.66. Teaching staff, education facilities, lecture of major subject, curriculum, and improvement of major ability were higher than mean. The mean of satisfaction of major subject was high (4.34±0.73). The mean of demand of academic credit bank system was 3.49±0.51. Service of National institute for lifelong education and center for continuing education of university, and class support of university and department were higher than mean. The result showed a significant difference in the mean of the satisfaction (p＜.05) and major subject (p＜.05) depending on the gender.
Conclusions: The academic credit banking system plays an important role as continuing education to improve majoring ability. Therefore, concerning satisfaction and demand of students, necessary operation and support for the academic credit bank system should be made.
